Absolutely my favorite, most useful book on orchids. It has helped me go from a beginner orchid grower with about 10 plants to very experienced and knowledgeable, with about + orchids in 2 different locations of my home, one for cool growing, miniature cloud forest species and the other for larger, warmer and light loving by: 7. This orchid book is ideal for the beginning orchid grower. As with all of the “Dummies” books, the details are outstanding while the information is presented in an easy-to-understand manner. The full details of each orchid book review is shown below: Orchid Book Review: Orchid Growers Companion. Author: David Banks. I read The Wild Orchid by Cameron Dokey back in April for the Dewey Readathon. This young adult book retells the ballad of Mulan. Its a bit more in-depth than the Disney film but lacking the awesome songs (and yes I totally have Be A Man on my iPod). Set in Imperial China, Mulan is tough as nails/5. The Orchid Whisperer is an eminently intelligent and attractive book for beginning orchid growers. While not actually advocating muttering at plants (at least not as an active growing tool), it presents plenty of easy-to-understand advice to get novice growers on the road to success.
